For walkers who require overnight accommodations on Friday, April 30 or Saturday, May 1, we have secured a room block with special Avon Walk participant rates:
Friday/Saturday Rate: $189 + tax per night for a single or double.
You must indicate that you are part of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in order to secure that rate. This is the most convenient hotel to stay at, since it is the Event Eve host hotel.

Friends and family are more than welcome to park for Opening or Closing Ceremonies along the street, but will not be able to leave cars overnight (please leave ample time for parking). Overnight parking options will be announced soon. Please continue to check back for the most up to date information.
Complimentary shuttles to the Washington Monument Grounds will run from the Hilton Washington, between 4:00am – 6:00am Saturday morning. Buses returning to the Hilton Washington on Sunday will depart immediately after the conclusion of the Closing Ceremony.

Located less than a mile from the Washington, DC line, Meadowbrook Park is a beautiful park surrounded by nature and full of local flavor! We are thrilled to have this park as our Wellness Village for the second year in a row!
Limited visitor parking will be available on Beach Drive at the intersection of East-West Highway and there will be a Traffic and Security Crew Team to direct friends and family. Visitors are encouraged to utilize public transportation conveniently located in the area. The closest Metro Stops are Bethesda and Silver Spring on the Red Line. Several bus lines run between these two stops and Meadowbrook Lane.
THE ROUTE:
Walking from the Washington Monument Grounds to Meadowbrook Park and Back Again
The walk route to and from the Washington Monument Grounds and Wellness Village will consist mostly of sidewalks and city streets. There may be occasions where the route will take you through a city park.
The route itself will be clearly marked with directional signage and other markings. This is how you will navigate the route during the event—by following the signs. There is also a route support team called ‘the Sweep Team,’ who are available to help you while you are on the road between Quick Stops and Rest Stops.
Overall, the route will take you through some of Washington, DC’s most beautiful neighborhoods, and is designed to be safe, fun and interesting!
