 THE ROUTE - Walking from Pier 84 to Randall’s Island and Back Again
The walk route to and from Hudson River Park's Pier 84 and Wellness Village will consist mostly of sidewalks and city streets. There may be occasions where the route will take you through some of New York’s beloved parks and paths.  The route itself will be clearly marked with directional signage and other markings. This is how you will navigate the route during the event—by following the signs.  There is also a route support team called ‘the Sweep Team,’ who are available to help you while you are on the road between Quick Stops and Rest Stops. Overall, the route will give you a look at  some New York's best historical, scenic, and residential neighborhoods, and is designed to be safe, fun and interesting!

Public Transportation to Pier 84:
MTA Bus M42 to Circle Line Stop, Pier 84 is immediately next to the Circle Line stop.  The fare is $2.50. Click here for the M42 bus schedule.

Complimentary shuttles to Pier 84 will run from the Hilton New York, between 4:00AM – 5:30AM Saturday morning.  On Sunday buses returning to the Hilton New York and public transit hubs will begin at 12:00 Noon.

We are pleased to announce that Randall’s Island will host our Wellness Village again this year. After completing your first day of walking through some of New York’s most well-known and picturesque neighborhoods, you’ll spend the night at your home-away-from-home, also known as our Wellness Village. Randall’s Island is over 200 acres of urban oasis situated next to Manhattan in the East River. It’s the perfect place to spread out and set up camp for the night.

There is extremely limited free parking available for visitors on a first come, first served basis.

For walkers who require overnight accommodations on Friday, October 19 or Saturday, October 20, we have secured a room block with special Avon Walk participant rates: Friday/Saturday Rate: $359 + tax per night for a single or double. You must indicate that you are part of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in order to secure that rate. This is the most convenient hotel to stay at, since it is the Event Eve host hotel.
