Avon Walk for Breast Cancer: Houston

For reference, our 2013 Event Sites and Route were as follows:

ROUTE OVERVIEW

Walking from Stude Park to Rice University and Back Again. The walk route to and from Stude Park and the Wellness Village consisted of sidewalks and city streets. The first steps on to our 2-day route took the Walkers through some of the highlights of Houston, like the historic homes in the Heights and River Oaks neighborhoods, to the world-renowned Medical District, and the ever-popular Galleria area, the journey was extraordinary! Saturday ended with a stroll through Rice University Campus, the Wellness Village location.

Sunday’s route wound back through the streets of Houston and past more of the sites and sounds of this great Texas city! After exploring Downtown Houston and passing the Toyota Center and Minute Maid Park along with many important city buildings, the route ended up right back at Stude Park for the Closing Ceremony. Walkers and Crew celebrated with friends and family and took great pride in the fact that they spent the weekend raising awareness and funds for this important cause. The Closing Ceremony was not to be missed and it couldn't have been a better way to come together in unity to celebrate all that they accomplished!
