For walkers who require overnight accommodations on Friday, October 22 or Saturday, October 23 we have secured a room block with special Avon Walk participant rates at the Westin Charlotte:
Friday/Saturday Rate: $134 + tax per night for a single or double room.
You must indicate that you are part of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in order to secure that rate. This is the most convenient hotel to stay at, since it is immediately across the street from the Event Eve space.

NEW THIS YEAR — NUTRITION & BREAST CANCER
Genentech BioOncology is happy to announce a free educational program during Event Eve for all walkers, patients and caregivers. Join us to learn more about nutrition, HER2-positive breast cancer and HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer; meet other walkers, patients and caregivers; and enjoy light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. Attendees are also invited to “walk” the pink carpet to get a photo taken of you or your group. The program will take place on Friday, October 22 at 5:30 p.m. at the Charlotte Convention Center, room 203AB. To RSVP call 1-866-577-0371. On-site registration will also be available.

Complimentary shuttles to Frazier Park will run from the Westin, Charlotte between 4:00AM – 6:00AM Saturday morning. Buses returning to the Westin, Charlotte on Sunday will depart immediately after the conclusion of the Closing Ceremony.
WELLNESS VILLAGE – PARK ROAD PARK

We are excited to return to Park Road Park again this year. Park Road Park is located in Charlotte’s Southpark area and provides a quiet, relaxing sanctuary for your home away from home for the night.
There is extremely limited free parking available for visitors on a first come, first served basis. Visitors should follow the directional signs to Visitor Parking once they arrive at the park.
THE ROUTE:
Walking from Frazier Park to Park Road Park and Back Again
The walk route to and from Frazier Park and the Wellness Village will consist mostly of sidewalks and city streets. There will be occasions where the route will take you through one of Charlotte’s beautiful county parks.
The route itself will be clearly marked with directional signage and other markings. This is how you will navigate the route during the event—by following the signs. There is also a route support team called ‘the Sweep Team,’ who are available to help you while you are on the road between Quick Stops and Rest Stops.
Overall, the route will take you through some of Charlotte’s most beautiful neighborhoods, and is designed to be safe, fun and interesting!
