THE ROUTE - Walking from the University of Massachusetts to the Reebok World Headquarters and Back Again
The walk route to and from UMass Boston and Wellness Village will consist mostly of sidewalks and city streets. There may be occasions where the route will take you through some of Boston’s beloved parks and bike paths. The route itself will be clearly marked with directional signage and other markings. This is how you will navigate the route during the event—by following the signs. There is also a route support team called ‘the Sweep Team,’ who are available to help you while you are on the road between Quick Stops and Rest Stops. Overall, the route will give you a look at some historical, commercial, and residential neighborhoods, and is designed to be safe, fun and interesting!

Family/Friends staying for the Ceremony can park in the campus lots for $6 per day.
Overnight parking is available at UMass Boston overnight-approved lots for the cost of $6 per day and $12 for the weekend.
Complimentary shuttles to UMass Boston will run from the Boston Park Plaza, between 4:00am – 6:00am Saturday morning. Buses returning to the Boston Park Plaza on Sunday will depart immediately after the conclusion of the Closing Ceremony.

Located at the foot of the Blue Hills, Reebok is not only a National Sponsor but is also the host of the Avon Walk Boston Wellness Village! The picturesque campus features a rubber duckie pond and allows for inside dining and entertainment for our walkers.
Plenty of free visitor parking will be available at the Reebok World Headquarters.

For walkers who require overnight accommodations on Friday, May 18 or Saturday, May 19, we have secured a room block with special Avon Walk participant rates:
Friday/Saturday Rate: $209 + tax per night for a single or double.
You must indicate that you are part of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in order to secure that rate. This is the most convenient hotel to stay at, since it is the Event Eve host hotel.
